Harmony Week Celebrations

Harmony Week is a vibrant celebration that embraces our diversity and brings together Australians from all walks of life. The VSL Melton Centre is a prime example of the rich multiculturalism that defines contemporary Australia, offering language programs in French, Hindi, Punjabi, and Tamil.
On Saturday, March 22, 2025, the dedicated staff, and students held an impressive Harmony Week Concert to showcase their cultural expertise and talents. The event kicked off with a compelling 15-minute assembly led by Chris Wilson, the site supervisor, who passionately discussed the significance of living in a diverse society. He underscored the vital importance of respecting and celebrating each other’s cultures and outlined how each one of us can play a role in fostering peace and harmony.
Following the assembly, teachers and students reinforced these powerful messages throughout their lessons. Students engaged actively in various activities, demonstrating their understanding through the languages they are studying at VSL.
