Greek Independence Day

On Sunday, March 23, 2025, Birdwood Avenue was awash in blue and white as VSL students, along with their families, had the chance to participate in a cultural event celebrated across Greece.

Students from Keilor Downs, Glen Waverley, Carwatha (Noble Park), Doncaster and South Oakleigh Centres, as well as those studying by Distance, gathered with their teachers and families to mark Greek Independence Day with the traditional “parade.”

This event allowed them to connect with the broader Greek community, offering students a meaningful experience and a sense of belonging, knowing they are part of a wider network of Greek language learners.
